SELL MY DATA · COMPANY DATA LICENSING

Your business records could earn licensing revenue.

Your team has spent years creating documents, solving problems and making decisions. Eligible internal records may have value for AI training. Find out whether your company is a fit for a paid licensing opportunity.

WORK ALREADY DONE. ANOTHER POSSIBLE USE.

The value may be in how your team works.

You don’t need to build a new dataset to start the conversation. Internal procedures, project plans and decision trails capture how a real business operates. Eligible historical records may help train AI models to understand that work.

Return My Time helps you explore the opportunity, clarify what needs review and understand a suitable vendor before any introduction. The first step is an overview of your company and its systems.

01 / OPERATING KNOWLEDGE

How work gets done

Internal SOPs, wikis, reports, spreadsheets and planning documents.

02 / DECISION HISTORY

How teams solve problems

Eligible internal email, chat, project trackers and documented decisions.

03 / RETAINED SYSTEMS

Where the history lives

Workspace, document and project systems, including accessible retired tools.

Examples are starting points for review. A system’s contents are not automatically eligible; rights and sensitive-data exclusions come first.

A USEFUL STARTING PROFILE

Built for established businesses with an office team and a history.

Think the office behind a trades business, the operations team behind an e-commerce brand, or the central team coordinating multiple locations.

  • Roughly 50–150 full-time employees, with a substantial computer-based team.
  • Three or more years of accessible internal digital records.
  • Most team members in the US, Canada, Europe or Australia.
  • An owner or executive able to sponsor a discussion and review licensing authority.

A starting profile, not an acceptance rule. Smaller teams, different locations and uncertain history can be reviewed. Headcount and storage alone do not determine value.

WHAT YOUR INTAKE STARTS

Find out whether there’s a next step worth taking.

You’re asking us to review an opportunity. Submitting the intake does not authorize a data transfer or commit you to a licensing deal.

We start with three questions.

  • Could your company be a fit? We review your team, systems and retained history.
  • What needs clarification? We identify questions about access, licensing authority, scope and workload.
  • Is a vendor introduction appropriate? If so, we explain the recommendation and ask your permission.

YOU CONTROL EACH NEXT STEP

Explore first. Approve each next step.

  1. 01

Tell us what your business has retained.

Describe your team, systems and accessible record history. Approximate counts and unknowns are fine. No file uploads or system access.

  2. 02

Understand the fit and the recommended vendor.

We review your goals, scope, rights and workload concerns. If a suitable vendor is identified, we explain why, disclose our role and any referral compensation, and ask permission for an introduction.

  3. 03

    Review an offer. Then decide.

The vendor evaluates the opportunity and sets any quote. Review use, payment, security, exclusivity and export obligations with your advisers before signing or approving a transfer.

GET CLEAR BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Good questions deserve straight answers.

You should understand the value, the workload and the terms before deciding whether to proceed.

How much could my company earn?

There is no fixed payout or price per gigabyte. Accessible history, permitted content, quality, rights and the vendor's assessment shape a company-specific offer. Return My Time reviews fit and prepares an introduction; the selected vendor determines acceptance, valuation and payment terms. You review the written offer before deciding.

What would the data be used for?

The opportunity is licensing agreed historical internal business records for AI training. A vendor may prepare de-identified outputs and license them onward to a foundation-model customer. We explain the proposed recipient, purpose and terms before requesting permission for an introduction. Participation is subject to scope, rights and contract review.

Is this selling customer lists or personal data?

No. The initial focus is internal operational history: procedures, planning, project decisions and other eligible company records. Customer records, client-identifying information, customer support data, privileged legal material, health or biometric data, payment-card or financial-account data, minors' data, credentials and classified or export-controlled information are outside this initial scope. Client-owned, NDA-covered or third-party licensed work needs review. Access to a record does not establish permission to license it.

How are privacy and confidentiality handled?

Start by describing your systems and record history, without sharing the records themselves. Before any transfer, review the selected vendor's written security, de-identification, confidentiality, access and retention terms with your IT and legal advisers. De-identification does not establish licensing rights or eliminate all risk. Raise sensitive categories in the intake without including their contents.

Do I keep ownership? Can I withdraw the data later?

The agreement determines ownership, permitted use, exclusivity, liability and withdrawal rights. Raw-data deletion and removal of outputs already delivered for training are different matters; delivered outputs may be licensed permanently and may not be retractable. Review those terms before signing. Submitting this intake does not authorize licensing or transfer.

Will this become another project for my team?

The first step is company-level information, not an export. An owner or authorized executive can involve an IT or operations lead to identify systems, accessible dates and approximate counts. Estimates and unknowns are useful starting points. If you proceed, the later inventory, export work and support must be scoped with the vendor; we do not promise a workload or completion date.

Do you need passwords, files or access to our systems?

Not for the fit review. Do not send credentials, attachments, sample mailboxes, customer records or bulk exports through this form. Any later transfer requires agreed scope, appropriate rights, a reviewed contract and an explicitly approved method. The intake is not permission for unrestricted access.

Who is this for? What if we are smaller or in a regulated industry?

Our starting profile is an established business with roughly 50–150 full-time employees, a substantial computer-based team and three or more years of accessible internal records. Most team members in the US, Canada, Europe or Australia is a useful starting signal. These are review preferences, not guaranteed eligibility or universal minimums. Smaller teams, other locations, uncertain history and regulated industries need individual review.

Who chooses the vendor, and how is Return My Time paid?

Return My Time reviews your business and requirements before recommending a suitable vendor. We explain the recommendation, remaining questions, each party's role and any applicable referral compensation before asking permission to share an agreed company summary. We may receive a referral fee if a partnership proceeds. We do not claim a market-wide comparison or guarantee a match.

Am I committing to a deal by completing the form?

No. The intake requests a Return My Time fit review and follow-up. An identifying vendor introduction requires separate permission; licensing and transfer require their own agreement and approval. You can decide whether to continue after understanding the opportunity. No Academy membership or AI assessment purchase is required.
